How to make Caramel Peanut Butter?
This recipe is incredibly easy! Go to Imperial Sugar for the printable recipe!
Preheat your oven to 300°F. Line a 15x10x1 inch nonstick baking sheet greaseproof paperor a silicone mat and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the sugar, butter, corn syrup, cinnamon and salt. Add the peanuts and toss to coat evenly. Then spread the peanuts on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, until the mixture is browned and lightly browned, stirring the nuts every 10 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven, sprinkle with more salt if desired and allow the nuts to cool completely. Once everything is cool, crack the nuts. You might get clusters, which is fine!
Can you use other nuts?
You can use any type of nut for this recipe. The point is to layer them well and bake them until they are crispy! Here are some nuts that would be great with this buttery caramel coating:
- Macadamia nuts
How to store coffee beans
These store perfectly, just make sure they are in a non-humid environment or they will stick. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
