❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
Molasses cookies are simply wonderful this time of year and make your house smell as good as they are baking in the oven. Molasses Cookies are the perfect gift for family and friends. They are also great with a cup of coffee! The spices are perfect!
- Brown sugar
- Molasses (I use sorghum, you can use any kind of molasses)
- flour for all uses
- baking soda
- ground ginger
🍽️HOW TO MAKE
These cookies are really easy to make, the biggest part of the whole process is letting the dough chill for an hour.
Beat together the butter, brown sugar and egg. Mix with molasses. Add flour and baking soda, cinnamon and ginger.
Cover the dough and leave to cool for one hour in the refrigerator. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and roll in granulated sugar.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, spray the cookies. Space the cookies 2 inches apart and press down with a fork dipped in sugar. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 40 cookies.
I think these cookies are even better the next day, so you can easily make them ahead of time. They are soft in the center which we love. You can always warm them up a bit if you like warm cookies.
