❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love these ham and swiss sliders because they are simple to make and adding brown sugar with the mustard gives them the best flavor. They are delicious right out of the oven and I can never eat just one. You can buy deli meat, get some Swiss cheese, a few more ingredients and have a fantastic appetizer.
- Sweet Hawaiian rolls or something similar
- Deli Ham
- Swiss cheese
- Mayonnaise or miracle whip
- Yellow mustard (You could use honey mustard or spicy mustard)
- Onion flakes
- Worcestershire sauce
- Brown sugar
- Poppy seeds (optional)
You could always swap out the meat or cheese in these sliders. Or make half turkey and cheese and half ham and swiss. I think the sweetness of the ham is what makes them so good!
🍽️HOW TO MAKE
These sliders are so easy to throw together, the hardest part is just getting the ingredients out. You can throw them together in five minutes.
Make your sandwiches by splitting the rolls, spreading mayonnaise, adding a piece of cheese and ham. Add the tops and place in a 9X13 pan.
Melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave, add the poppy seeds, mustard, onion flakes and Worcestershire sauce. Beat together with the wire. Brush the tops of the rolls using all the mixture. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the tops after brushing with butter. Note: I didn’t have poppy seeds when I remade them for photos, so they don’t appear in the picture and are optional in any case.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and bake uncovered for about 5 minutes. Makes 12 sandwiches.
Hawaiian King Rolls now makes slider rolls and so does Pepperidge Farm, which I think makes it a lot easier than having to split the rolls. I suggest buying them if you can find them.
If you like sliders, then give them a go Chili setters for dogs a test! They are so easy to make and you could easily make them at the same time you make them.
SERVE THIS WITH
If you’re making sliders, then you’ll probably need other appetizers. We love these Mexican sausage balls, Homemade fried dill pickles and Crock Pot Cranberry Smokies.
❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Once you add the butter mixture, you need to bake them right away so they don’t get soggy.
No, you can easily leave them out.
STORAGE AND REHEATING
We just store them in containers in the fridge and reheat them in the microwave, unless we reheat ALL the spares we do it in the oven. 350 for 5-8 minutes should work.
